Burning plastic dishes in the kitchen

So today as I am trying to work the second draft of my thesis proposal many things are happening. The first, is that no matter what happens my procrastination seems be present and thats why I'm here typing. Second, is my mom going through a ton of stuff that came out as a result of me moving from one room to another room thats in the other side of the house. Lastly, is all the things that are here on the internet, specially a picture that i saw where someone had left a "plastic" cutting board on top of an electrical stove burner. As soon as I saw the picture with the note written right on it that reads "Sorry, Honey! : (," I started laughing out loud, not LOLing, but literally laughing out loud because it reminded me of an incident that happen some years ago. I was a someone's apartment in one of the rooms having a conversation. Then, we were interrupted abruptly by the smoke detector and another person screaming at me to go help. When I run to the kitchen I notice her trying to put out a mini fire that been started in the toaster oven because she was trying to heat something that was in a plastic bowl. In my mind I remember my self acting like a night in shining armor coming to the rescue but I'm sure I screamed like a little girl and jumped around for a couple a seconds before I took action to put the fire out. Ultimately I did put the fire out, and felt like a hero for a second. Then everyone started laughing but all I kept doing was asking my self "why would put a plastic plate in a toaster oven?"  To this day I still don't have the answer and theres a possibility that I neve will but at least the situation has brought me another laugh in such a stressful day.
